UNISA ENTERPRISE ANNOUNCES CHANGES TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Unisa Enterprise is pleased to announce and welcome new members of the Board of Directors, who bring a wealth of experience and expertise to our organisation. To fill existing vacancies on the Board, the shareholder (UNISA) has approved the appointment of the following non-executive directors:

Mr. Waseem Carrim – Waseem is a Chartered Accountant by profession and has completed his MBA through Wits Business School. He is currently the CEO of NYDA and has previously been the CFO, as well as held roles at the University of Pretoria and KPMG. He has been a board member for entities such as the Youth Development Institute of South Africa, Brand South Africa, and the Mpumalanga Parks and Tourism Authority.   He is also an Independent Member of the Audit Committee at Brand South Africa and the Health and Welfare SETA.

Mr. Koketso Rampyapedi -An accomplished industrial engineer with over a decade of experience, Koketso currently serves as the chief of staff to the CEO and head of strategy at Barloworld Equipment Southern Africa. His board experience spans various companies, and he is a member of the Institute of Directors South Africa.

“These appointments, effective from 1 January 2025, will ensure our Board is complete and positioned to fulfil our organisational mandate. I am enthusiastic about the opportunities ahead and sincerely appreciate the commitment and hard work of our entire team,” says Unisa Enterprise CEO, Lesetsa Matshekga.
